Meet Our Dedicated Team of Educators
Asia Hussain
Asia Hussain is the Principal of Nur ul Ilm Academy, Glasgow. A graduate of the Alimiyyah programme (2018), she also holds a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics and a Master’s in Operational Research. She teaches Arabic, Tafseer, and Shariah Law, and delivers spiritual development sessions for students.
Bareera Riaz
Bareera Riaz completed the Alimiyyah Programme at Nur ul Ilm Academy in 2018. She has taught the Arabic of the Qur’an and Hadith, along with classical commentaries, in Dubai and Scotland. She currently teaches Arabic and Shariah Law at Nur ul Ilm Academy and supports its administrative work.
Irfana Mohammed
Irfana Mohammed is a qualified nursery practitioner and a graduate of Alimiyyah programme (2023). With over 18 years of experience, she teaches Qur’an and Islamic Studies to children using a nurturing, child-centred approach. She remains actively engaged in spiritual development and community-based Islamic education.
Raniya Kamran
Raniya Kamran is a student of Podiatric Medicine. She is a graduate of the Alimiyyah Programme (2021). Alongside her academic studies, she is involved in design and humanitarian work. She teaches Seerah and Arabic and continues further studies in Islamic Sciences.
